In episode 3 "My Neighbor Sid" I will take out an infestation with my neighbor Sid. I also included a small achievement guide for the following achievements:
Achievement "I Got You a Pony" for 5 GS
Achievement Description: "You delivered a rucksack to your Storage facility".
- This is a very simple achievement. You will have to deliver a rucksack to your home base. Rucksacks can be obtained in various containers around the game word. You can only carry one rucksack at the time! As soon as you have found one carry it back to your home base and interact with your storage facility (Y button) and the rucksack will transfer to your home base storage.
If you should come across more than one rucksack on a scavenging hunt, and you are in possession of a vehicle, than you can store multiple rucksacks in your vehicle's trunk.
Achievement "Construction Complete" for 5 GS
Achievement Description: "You built a facility at your base".
-When you first establish your home base your will be prompted to build an Infirmary. This is a very important facility and should be build right away! You can build various facilities at your home base at availabel building pads. Building pads are market by a red square. As you stand atop the building pad you will have to press Y on your gamepad and select the facility you would like to build. The achievement will unlock AFTER the construction is completed. The construction times vary depending on the facility but it will definitely take a few minutes to complete.
Achievement "Call Me Any Anytime" for 10 GS
Achievement Description: "You called in a radio command".
- For this achievement you will have to call in a radio command. To do that push up on your gamepad and you will be able to choose between these 4 options:
- Volunteer (free)
- Medical Advice
- Find Resources/People
- Stuck (free)
I choose find Resources/People and Locate Materials which costs 35 influence. But you are free to choose whichever Radio command you like. It will take a few minutes for the achievement to unlock.
"Sorry for Party Rocking" for 10
Achievement Description: "You destroyed an infestation".
-Destroy an infestation and you will unlock the achievement.
Definition
Infestations are a group of zombies residing permanently in a building marked on your minimap as a red house after discovery. The group of zombies usually consist of 8 or more zombies including 1 or 2 screamers.
Strategie
Explosives are a great strategie, just open the door and throw them in. You car is a very safe way of disposing of them as well. Open the door get back in your car and just drive over them as they come out.
No matter what strategie you are using make sure you always take the screamers our first! If you do not they will attract more zombies with there screams.
Finding an infestation
Infestations can be located by surveying an area or by driving/walking past an infested building. They can also be part of search and destroy missions.
